Well Hello There Friends,
With the cool, crisp, air nestling in for the season--I find myself perusing pinterest boards, searching sites, and wondering whimsical thoughts for the holiday season. I am sure that some of you think that I am crazy for even thinking about, (let alone preparing for) the upcoming festivus... but it is happening... well let's be serious--it happened... I love the holiday season. I have a child-like fascination for the outpouring of cheer, kindness, and goodwill towards all--it just gives me the warm fuzzies. There is something intrinsically magical about twinkling lights, hot cocoa, and slow nights by the fireplace with good people. Maybe it is childish to have such an innate LOVE for the holiday season, but I just adore the core sentiment, the excuse, to shower the ones I love with kindness. |

This past week I had the lovely pleasure of venturing to small-town Mendota, Illinois to spend time with my absolutely phenomenal* "in laws". With that being said, this week I have decided to host an inspirational guest post in an effort to allow for more quality time with those that I love.
***This is no joke--I ADORE my in-laws. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive, loving, caring family to welcome me into their lives. I don't take these lovely folks for granted either--I have been told (and agree wholeheartedly) that I belong to an "rare breed"... something that akin to "unicornesque" in its rarity when it comes to marring into a family that I believe to be the bee's knees. Seeking A Grounded Existence
The holidays create an ideal opportunity to reevaluate your priorities, and focus on what really matters. The extra time off gives you the chance to live more: kiss, hug, read, dream, sleep, sing, hike, bike, play, cook, create, plant, laugh, learn, chat, dance, paint, knit, parent, care, share, explore and enjoy.
