Made With Love
In my opinion, you don't need a significant other in order to enjoy Valentine's Day. As with anything in life, you "get out" what you "put in". If you spread joy to others, it will come back to you.

String Art From The Heart
First, figure out what design, shape, or word you would like to make! Once you have an idea in mind, create a drawing or printout of the design on a sheet of paper to use as a template for your artwork.
After gathering your supplies and clearing a work-space, you are ready to get started!
1.) Prime your wood
2.) Paint the wood the color of your hearts desire!
3.) Place your paper design over your painted piece of wood, and trace the outline using a pen or pencil--this will create a small indentation in the paint so you can follow along when you start nailing! Alternatively, you could cut your design out & tape it to the wood to use as a stencil
4.) Hammer nails tightly along the outline of your shape
5.) Tie a string to start your design and then simply wrap the string around each nail. You can use a zig-zag pattern, stripes, or a random sampling where you go all over the place.
6.) Add any embellishments, and secure with hot glue and/or Mod Podge as necessary
7.) Find a place to hang it in your home, or wrap it up to give it to a friend!
I hope that you have a LOVELY Valentines Day! Let me know how these treats turn out for you! I would ADORE seeing pictures of any of your creations!
Namaste,
Christy
