While I openly welcome any opportunity to meditate on the meaning of life, or reason to ruminate on resolutions--Personally, I don't buy in to all of the hype surrounding "New Years Resolutions". I believe that any given day can be a springboard for change. In theory, we should all continually be striving to be the best versions of ourselves. I am not trying to be a "Negative Nancy", I just feel as though you can (and should) evaluate your life more than once a year.
"Each day we are born again. It is what we do today that matters most"-Buddha
Realize that your version of "happy" doesn't have to fit in a box-- everyone has their own version of joy. Do what makes your soul sing. "Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself" -Coco Chanel.
"Be in love with your life" -Jack Kerouac
“Eat Well
Stress Less
Move More
Love More
That’s it.”
Over the past year, I have personally gone through an "awakening" that has lead me to believe the following to be true, and worthy of my continued focus, dedication, attention, and implementation:

While considering your resolutions, take this as an opportunity to tune in to what makes YOU happy-- what would you do if you weren't afraid? Would you take time to live more, love more? We could all use more time to: kiss, hug, read, dream, sleep, sing, hike, bike, play, cook, create, plant, laugh, learn, chat, dance, paint, knit, parent, care, share, explore and enjoy.
So maybe Dr. Ornish is onto something after all…“Eat well, stress less, move more, love more. That’s it.”
Your life is your message to the world, make sure it is inspiring. Wishing you health and happiness in the upcoming year.
Namaste,
Christy
